NTA participates in the International Conference AlgalBBB 2021 on Algal Biomass, Biofuels and Bioproducts
The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), leading NewTechAqua's researches on the development of experimental techniques to improve microalgae breeding program, was selected to participate in the 10th AlgalBBB Conference.
The AlgalBBB conferences present the most recent publications and results of the algae research community, covering all research areas: biology, biotechnology, biomass production, cultivation, harvesting, extraction, biorefinery, feedstock conversion into fuels, high value products, econometrics, and sustainability analyses.
This year, our member ULPGC was selected to participate in Session 7A - Algal Biology - Biodiversity and Bioprospecting of Algae for Biofuels and High Value Products. The researcher Francesco Pisapia will present NTA project's results regarding microalgae breeding program in its presentation"Classical Breeding In Diatoms As A Strategy To Enhance Production Of High-value Fatty Acids For European Aquaculture".
The ULPGC will also present the scientific poster: Relevance Of Indirect Methods For Monitoring The Growth Of Nitzschia palea In Batch Cultures.
